Man Utd fans are loving Andre Onana's emotional response to interview question

Onana recently agreed to join Old Trafford.

Manchester United fans absolutely loved Andre Onana's response to a recent interview question.

After weeks of speculation, United confirmed the £47 million signing of Onana from Inter Milan on Thursday.

The 27-year-old will become Erik ten Hag's new first choice goalkeeper after David de Gea confirmed he was leaving the club earlier this month.

And supporters loved his honest reaction when asked how much he was looking forward to playing at Old Trafford for the first time. You can listen to his answer below.

Onana took several deep breaths before saying: "I'm really excited brother. To be honest, I'm really excited to play."

Words then seemed to escape the Cameroon international as he envisaged his debut, before admitting he didn't even want to think about it.

"I don't want to think about it because maybe I might not sleep tonight", he said with a chuckle, demonstrating his excitement at the prospect.

Meanwhile, fans loved his genuine and heartfelt reaction to the question.

"Top man. You can tell this was his dream move", one fan replied.

"He’s very honest about his reaction," another wrote.

A third added: "Love this guy already man," before a fourth claimed: "He’s going to take us up levels".

Upon joining United, Onana revealed it was am "honour" to be a part of the club, saying: “I’m very excited. For me, it’s a big honour. It’s a big privilege to be part of this big club, part of this family.

“Of course, Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world and I have some friends who were playing here.

“I also had the opportunity to work with Edwin van der Sar when I was playing for Ajax back in the day, so I know quite a lot about this big club.”

United's 2-0 win over Arsenal came too soon for Onana, but he may be in line to make his debut against Wrexham in San Diego on Wednesday.
