Man Utd goalkeeper Andre Onana handed 'silly' price in Fantasy Premier League

Man Utd goalkeeper Andre Onana handed 'silly' price in Fantasy Premier League

Onana's price has been set.

New Manchester United signing Andre Onana's price on Fantasy Premier League has been revealed.

The Cameroon goalkeeper signed for United from Inter Milan for a fee of £47.2 million last week.

He will replace David de Gea as the club's number one goalkeeper, and is set to make his Premier League debut at home to Wolves on the opening day of the season.

Onana worked under Ten Hag when the pair were at Ajax, and his arrival will help United's defensive play in terms of distribution and escaping high-tempo presses.

United fans will now be judging whether or not to add the 27-year-old to their Fantasy Premier League team, with a host of attractive goalkeeping options available.

And his 2023/24 FPL starting price has now been revealed.

Andre Onana FPL price revealed

Onana will cost FPL users a small price of £5.0m to add to squads prior to the season getting underway.

Three goalkeepers - Alisson, Ederson and Nick Pope - cost a higher amount at £5.5m, while seven other goalkeepers can be added to your squad for the same price as Onana.

That, therefore, makes United's newest signing an attractive option to begin the game, particularly as prices increase or decrease depending on a player's performances.

If Onana performs well in the early weeks of the season, his price will no doubt rise, making it potentially a good idea to 'sign' him for your team before the campaign gets underway if you back him to produce on the pitch.

That is a sentiment shared by United's official website, who stated that it would be 'silly' not to include him in your squad.

The most expensive player on FPL this year, meanwhile, is unsurprisingly Manchester City star Erling Haaland.

After his incredible display of goalscoring, the Norwegian is worth a staggering £14.0m.

Only Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin van Persie have had a starting price of £14.0m, with Arsenal legend Henry's peak price of £14.9m in the 2005/06 season (as per All About FPL) the highest in FPL history.
