Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly decided on which club he wants to join this summer.

Garnacho, 20, has reportedly made up his mind on which club he wants to join, having been told to leave Man United by head coach Ruben Amorim.

Due to Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 formation, it was initially thought that he was left out of starting XIs for tactical reasons earlier in the 2024/25 season.

The 20-year-old and Marcus Rashford were both left out of United’s matchday squad ahead of the 2-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad back in December, although Amorim insisted that Garnacho responded well.

However, the winger was in and out of the starting side for much of the campaign and played just 20 minutes of the 1-0 Europa League final defeat against Spurs in May.

During the aftermath, both he and his brother, Roberto, voiced their thoughts.

“Working as no one else, helping every round, coming from 2 goals last 2 finals, just to be on the pitch 19 mins and get thrown under the bus, wowe hajjahhahaha,” Roberto wrote on social media.

Alejandro also gave his thoughts, saying: “Our season was s**t. We didn’t beat anyone in the league. We lacked a lot of things. When you don’t score goals, you always need more.

“Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today - I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”

As a result, Garnacho’s time at Old Trafford looks close to coming to an end, with several clubs linked with a potential move.

According to The Guardian, United may be willing to accept an offer of £40m despite previous reports suggesting that they value the youngster at £60-70m.

On Sunday (June 1), the Mirror reported that Garnacho has finally made up his mind on his next club.

And despite interest from Serie A champions Napoli, he favours a move to Premier League outfit Chelsea.

But not everyone is pleased, with some Chelsea fans taking to X to voice their thoughts.

One said: “Chelsea can do SO much better than Alejandro Garnacho. I do think he’d be better than most people think, but the off-the-field stuff worries me and when Nico Williams, etc., are potential options… You have to target them."

Another added: “I really want to know what Chelsea SDs see in Garnacho that we, the fans, are not seeing.”

A third explained: “If Chelsea signs Garnacho, then I am signing out of football.”
