Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho has been contacted by a shock club over a potential move, according to a new report.
Garnacho has registered eight goals and five assists in all competitions for Chelsea since signing from Manchester United last summer.
The Blues splashed out £40 million to bring the Argentinian in from Old Trafford and, after a relatively slow start, Garnacho has shown flashes of brilliance at times in a Chelsea shirt.
But there have been some question marks from fans about his lack of consistency.

And journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that Chelsea are open to selling the winger for a similar fee to the £40m they splashed out to sign him just eight months ago.

Now, a sensational report from TyC Sports' Gonzalo Carol claims that Argentine giants River Plate are lining up an audacious bid to bring Garnacho to the club on a one-year loan deal.
Though he plays for the Argentina national team, Garnacho was born and raised in Spain and came through Atletico Madrid's academy before joining Manchester United.
A move to River, therefore, would represent the first time he has played any form of club football in Argentina.
Carol claims (via Sport Witness) that River boss Eduardo Coudet has made contact with Garnacho, and indicates that Chelsea would 'look favourably' on a one-year loan deal to Argentina.
Garnacho has previously stated, however, that he is a fan of River's fierce rivals, Boca Juniors, which may add an extra layer of complexity to the deal.
Chelsea would almost certainly have to pay almost all of Garnacho's reported £110,000-per-week wages, as River's entire wage bill stands at around £545,000 (via Capology).
But Phillips, who published the initial report on Chelsea's Garnacho stance, says he believes that the River link is 'genuine' and that the winger could theoretically make what would be a surprise move to Argentina in the summer.
Should it go through, the 21-year-old would hope to be joining the club following back-to-back World Cup success with Argentina.
Lionel Scaloni's side have been drawn into Group J of the World Cup alongside Algeria, Austria and Jordan.
