A surprise update on Alejandro Garnacho has arrived from a respected journalist who claims two of Manchester United's biggest rivals are in for the Argentina international.

Garnacho appears to be out of favour at United and was told he better "pray" that he can find a new club by Ruben Amorim in front of his teammates after taking issue with his lack of minutes in the Europa League final.

The winger travelled with United for their post-season tour of Malaysia and Hong Kong but his future continues to dominate headlines.

Napoli have been heavily linked with the former Atletico Madrid youngster but according to Gaston Edul from TyC Sports, both Chelsea and Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Garnacho and have enquired about his availability.

It's said that Chelsea, who sniffed around in the January window, have expressed a bit more interest than their London rivals.

Respected journalist reveals Alejandro Garnacho's preference on move

Speaking on a podcast, Edul said: "The player will leave Manchester United and prefers to stay in the English Premier League. Two Premier League teams have expressed interest in him. Chelsea has shown the greatest interest, followed by Arsenal."

United would demand upwards of £50 million for Garnacho, who would be classed as a homegrown player that would bring pure profit on the balance sheet.

Unhappy with his 20-minute cameo in the defeat to Spurs in Bilbao, Garnacho spoke out in the mixed zone and said he would "try to enjoy the summer and then see what happens."

His brother was also highly critical of Amorim on social media and the Portuguese boss proceeded to drop the 20-year-old from the matchday squad for the final Premier League game of the season against Aston Villa.

There has been a suggestion that, having given him his breakthrough in the side, former United boss Erik ten Hag wishes to reunite with Garnacho after taking the Bayer Leverkusen job.

Fabrizio Romano claims three Premier League clubs want Garnacho

The latest development follows on from Fabrizio Romano's update where he said that three Premier League clubs had enquired about Garnacho, who is ready to end his spell at Old Trafford.

"Premier League clubs are calling and pushing for Alejandro Garnacho," he said on his official YouTube channel.

"There is a strong possibility to see Alejandro Garnacho playing in the Premier League with a different shirt than Man United's.

"From what I heard, three Premier League clubs have called ... trying to understand the situation, and the answer on the player and the club side is the same: ready to part ways this summer."
