In viral footage from the documentary, Guardiola was discussing a situation where Walker lost the ball in the build-up to Luis Diaz winning a penalty converted by Mo Salah.
Guardiola prompted an angry reaction from his then-captain in the dressing room after he said: "Kyle has to know that if you lose the ball it's a goal."
Sat down on the floor, Walker fumed: "I react to someone. If you keep saying my name in every meeting, in every f***ing meeting - then it will be impossible. You're going to get a reaction. For f*** sake!
"Every f***ing meeting it's my name."
In front of the group, Guardiola then told Walker, "maybe it's because you are our captain". The former Spurs defender replied, "You didn't want me to be captain".
Walker, who was voted City captain by his teammates, told the Catalan that "you somehow bring my name into it".
Guardiola became more and more emotional in his speech to the team, stating: "If you take it personally Kyle then I'm sorry. After nine years together, in the good moments and the bad moments, this is my defeat. Absolutely, more than anything. If I am problem then you have to tell me.
“I won’t stay here for the money or just for the fact of staying. I extended my contract because I want to be with you. I want to fight in that position. I don’t want you to feel like I’m leaving or running away from you.
"I won't stay here for the money. Because I want to be with you, I want to fight in that position. I don't feel that I'm leaving and running away from you. I don't want.
"I don't want to have that feeling that now the pieces fall down. I have feelings abut my family.
"But if you feel, captains first, then the other ones, for example [feel] that there's a problem, tell me. It's not going to change the love I have for all of you - not one second. But I want to fight. That's all. I'm sorry."
The following month, Guardiola announced that Walker had asked to leave the club and he subsequently signed on loan for AC Milan until the end of the season.
His departure was also reference by Guardiola in the documentary prior to a 1-1 draw with Chelsea as he appeared to question Walker's behaviour as a captain.
"So sad, what happened with Kyle," he commented.
"It was so easy for him to come to me [and say] 'I'm tired'. But you cannot behave as a captain the way he has done it. You cannot, in the toughest moments in our lives.
'What did you do my friends? What did you do with your captain? Tell me, what did you do?'
Walker signed a two-year deal with Burnley, with Guardiola personally selecting Bernardo Silva as his captain for his final season.
Ruben Dias is the new skipper under Maresca, whose side take on Bournemouth on Sunday.
