Jack Grealish ‘pranked’ into paying fan’s bill on holiday as TikTok goes viral

The Man City star has been brutally pranked as his teammates prepare for the Club World Cup

Manchester City winger Jack Grealish was tricked into paying a fan's bill on holiday in a clip that's gone viral on TikTok.

While his City teammates prepare for their Club World Cup opener against Moroccan club Wydad AC, Grealish is enjoying some time off after Pep Guardiola left him out of the squad for the competition.

Missing out on playing in the competition is just the latest of blow dealt to Grealish as he has struggled to find a place in the City team all season, leading to rumours that he could be sold by the club this summer.

Unfortunately for Grealish, things got even worse as, while relaxing on holiday abroad, one fan tricked the 29-year-old into paying for his bill in a clip that has gone viral on social media.

Posting on TikTok, Patric Persson shared a clip of Grealish soaking up some sun while relaxing by a pool in Greece.

And as staff from the hotel approached Persson with his bill, the social media user made the most of being beside Grealish, as he approached the Man City star and asked for his autograph on the bill.

But it wasn't just any piece of paper that the TikToker had the City winger sign, as he tricked Grealish into putting his signature on the bill, saving Persson from paying.

Although it is almost certainly a joke many fans took to the comments to say that with Grealish reportedly earning a salary of £300,000 per-week, he could easily have agreed to pay the bill anyway.

What's next for Jack Grealish?

Although he still has two years on his current contract, City will likely have to sell Grealish this summer if they hope to make back a decent amount of the £100million they paid for him in 2021.

According to The Guardian, although they are yet to received any official bids, City would be willing to accept as little as £50m for the England international.

Former club Aston Villa is just one of the Premier League clubs believed to be interested in a move, with Newcastle, West Ham and Everton also monitoring the situation.

Outside of England, both Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen are said to be interested in signing Grealish, however it has been reported that it is the move to join the Toffees is currently Grealish's preferred option.
