Manchester City star Jack Grealish has been labelled one of football's biggest 'trash talkers' by one of his own teammates.

The 28-year-old superstar has enjoyed large-scale success since his move from Aston Villa back in 2021, winning the treble with Pep Guardiola's side last season.

Grealish is often seen exchanging words with opposition players due to the number of times he is fouled in a game, with the City winger not afraid to stick up for himself or others.

The Brummie was pictured in a post-match scuffle with Everton's players after his side's 3-1 success on Merseyside on Tuesday night, seemingly riling up the Toffees players.

Nathan Patterson and Michael Keane both seemed to have some choice words for the former Villa man as Grealish confronted the pair.

But it is current City team-mate Manuel Akanji who has confirmed that Grealish is one of the biggest wind-up merchants in the game along with fellow Birmingham-born Jude Bellingham, admitting his own teammate is one of the worst for aggravating players on the pitch.

"Biggest trash talkers on the pitch? Jack Grealish & Jude Bellingham," Akanji told City's club media most recently.

During City's recent Club World Cup success, Brazil midfielder Felipe Melo also claimed that the former Notts County loanee was taunting Fluminense's players, despite Grealish's protestations.

“I defended my institution. I will do this forever. No one will disrespect my institution or its athletes. No one will come and humiliate my friends or my club," began the 40-year-old.

“I didn't want a mess. Grealish was disrespectful towards the Fluminense institution and I will never let that happen.

“He was shouting "ole" at the end of the game. This is something that the fans can do, not a player - an athlete on the field cannot be disrespectful.

“I went to defend Martinelli, who was being cornered by this athlete. And I would do it again. I am a warrior. Nobody can ever crow with a rooster.”
