Ilkay Gundogan has already made his feelings clear on who Manchester City should sign out of Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz.

Over the last couple of seasons, youngsters Musiala and Wirtz have developed into two of the biggest talents in world football.

Meanwhile, Wirtz played a big role in Bayer Leverkusen’s journey to becoming Bundesliga champions last season.

Both players have also been linked with Premier League clubs such as City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Speaking during EURO 2024, Gundogan, who made a return to City last month, was full of praise for Musiala.

As reported by Hayters, the midfielder said: “For me, he’s incredible.

“It’s such a joy to play with him because he is someone that can do the unexpected in every single situation and he’s such a difference maker for our team.”

He added: “Maybe he’s the most important one for us, at such a young age as well, especially when it comes to creating and getting the ball, taking people on, giving the final pass, scoring goals, which he has added now to his game as well which is very important for someone playing in such an offensive position.

“I love him. He’s such a complete player and such a nice guy as well, very humble. If he keeps doing his thing the way he is doing it right now, he can be one of the best.”

Musiala was asked about his future during a recent interview, as reported by GOAL, the 21-year-old told Welt Am Sonntag: “I’m very happy at FC Bayern and fully focused on our goals. Playing abroad like (Jude) Bellingham?

“I’m not thinking about where I will be in five years. Things can always change quickly in the world of football.”

Musiala has enjoyed a fine start to the 24/25 Bundesliga season after scoring once in two matches so far under new boss Vincent Kompany.
