Gary Neville did something he says he has never done before during Manchester City's convincing 3-0 win over Liverpool.
Goals from Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez and Jeremy Doku secured the win for Pep Guardiola's side, who move up to second in the Premier League table.
Virgil van Dijk had a goal ruled out by VAR when Liverpool were 1-0 down, but Arne Slot's side were second-best at the Etihad Stadium.
It is now five defeats in six games for the Reds, with the defending Premier League champions now eight points behind current leaders Arsenal after 11 games played.

Doku was City's star performer on Sunday afternoon and, as per OptaJoe, is the first player to win over 10 duels, create three chances and have three shots on target in a single match since Chelsea's Eden Hazard all the way back in 2019.
For his goal, Doku cut in on his right foot before curling a superb 20-yard strike into the right corner of the goal.
Unsurprisingly, the Belgium winger was given the Player of the Match award by Sky Sports.
His performance was so impressive that Neville decided that he would win the award despite only 62 minutes having been played at the Etihad Stadium.
On co-commentary for Sky Sports, the Manchester United legend described Doku's performance and goal as 'dazzling', and added: "I've never given the man-of-the-match award out after 62 minutes, but I think I will today. He has been sensational."
Speaking after the victory, Doku said: "I think in big games there's always more exposure, it's always more beautiful. I'm just happy with the game and the performance today from the team.
"From the start, we prepared the game well, so I'm very happy.
"It's good for the confidence as well [to play this well individually]. But i've got great players around me that are pushing me, every day, and that also gives me the feeling that I have to do more every game. Every day, I want to improve, and having team-mates like that, it makes it easier for me."
