Erling Haaland took to social media after Manchester City's game against Tottenham was decided by a controversial refereeing decision.

Dejan Kulusevski conjured up a 90th-minute equaliser to earn Tottenham a 3-3 draw against City at the Etihad Stadium.

It was the defining moment of a topsy turvy game that had seen Son Heung-min net at either end and Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Giovani Lo Celso score for their respective sides.

Naturally, there was also time for late refereeing drama when Simon Hooper elected to stop play for a foul on Haaland despite having initially seemingly chosen to play on.

Hooper's change of mind denied Grealish a clear goal-scoring opportunity, with the England forward having been played through on goal in the 94th minute.

Haaland, who furious at the final whistle, stormed off the pitch.

The Norwegian has since taken to social media to comment on the incident.

While quote-tweeting a clip of Hooper's decision, Haaland said, "WTF", a written abbreviation for 'what the f**k.'

While it was clear Hooper, who otherwise had a good game, made an error, Sky Sports co-commentator Gary Neville insisted that Haaland's frustration was partly due to his own underwhelming performance.

Haaland, who has scored 14 goals in 14 Premier League appearances, uncharacteristically squandered two golden opportunities to net against Tottenham.

Neville said on commentary: "Haaland has lost his head. But l suspect that is partly frustration at having a pretty poor game in front of goal.

"City have conceded nine goals in four games. That will be a bigger concern at the end than the refereeing error when Grealish was through."

Though Hopper's mishap went against City, Pep Guardiola's men are beginning to make a habit of slipping up late, having also dropped points against Chelsea and Liverpool of late.
