The Dutch media have had their say on Manchester City after they threw away a 3-0 lead during their Champions League clash with Feyenoord.

In the biggest shock of Tuesday's Champions League fixtures, Manchester City drew 3-3 with Dutch side Feyenoord at the Etihad despite leading the match 3-0 in the 75th minute.

After the match, City manager Guardiola was seen with scratches all over his face caused by the stress and frustration of the match.

And now, members of the Dutch media have spoken out about the match and revealed their opinion on City's performance on Tuesday.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf wrote: "It is yet another bizarre European Cup evening for a club that has surprised everyone at unexpected moments this season.

"Feyenoord's counterattacks will have embarrassed Guardiola again. And perhaps he had himself to blame."

While NRC wrote: "Feyenoord pulled off a stunt at Manchester City.

"The difference in quality with Pep Guardiola's team was big for a long time."

Meanwhile Algemeen Dagblad labelled Feyenoord's comeback as 'a miraculous resurrection'

AD stated: "Erasing a 3-0 deficit is quite something, but in the million-dollar game against the best team in the world for many football followers until recently, that was more than sensational.

"A kind of football miracle had taken place in the Etihad Stadium. A scenario that will continue to surface for years to come

"The feared enormous thrashing in the Etihad Stadium did not happen."

City now face a tough challenge in the Champions League with back-to-back difficult away fixtures against Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, meaning there is now a genuine possibility that City could crash out of the Champions League in the first round of the new format.

As it stands, City are on eight points in the Champions League table, two points away from the top eight sides that automatically progress to the next round.

However, Guardiola's side remain four points clear of the twelve sides that will be knocked out of the Champions League without making it to the knockout stage.

Meanwhile in the Premier League, City travel to Anfield for perhaps the most-anticipated match of the season against long-term rivals Liverpool.
