Liverpool fans think that one of their star players will be sold in the transfer window after spotting what his partner posted on social media.

With the 2024/25 season now over and the transfer window finally open, Liverpool fans are expecting a very busy summer off the back of winning the Premier League.

Although the likes of Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz are expected to join Jeremie Frimpong as Liverpool's new signings this summer, it is widely believed that several star players will also leave the club during the window.

Goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher will likely be the first player to leave Anfield, amid reports that he has secured a move to Brentford worth £18million including add-ons, but he won't be the only one to leave Arne Slot's side.

At least one forward is expected to leave Liverpool in the summer to make way for new signings, and after spotting his partner's latest post on Instagram, fans are convinced that it will be Luis Diaz.

Several reports have suggested that the star winger could be set to join Barcelona, and these rumours will no doubt intensify as his partner, Gera Ponce, appears to have posted a goodbye to Liverpool while sharing photos of their children celebrating winning the title.

Posting on Instagram she wrote: "To the incredible Liverpool fans. From the first day we arrived, we felt first hand what it means to be a part of this club.

We knew the slogan was 'You’ll Never Walk Alone', but to hear them sing it with so much passion, support us every moment and show such unconditional love... confirmed to us that here you never walk alone.

"This fan doesn't just support, it feels. And what you have made my boyfriend and our entire family feel is something we carry in our souls.

"Thank you for so much love, for so much dedication and for making us feel at home. Being a part of this fan is a privilege. There's no doubt: they're the best in the world. This is a real bond, deep and strong, that reaffirms that we'll never walk alone."

Although Ponce could simply be thanking fans of being supportive of her and her family since Diaz's arrival from Porto in January 2022, her timing has some fans seriously worried about the Colombian's future at Anfield.

Reacting to the post on X, one fan wrote: "I know a goodbye when I read one. Thanks for the memories Lucho YNWA."

Another added: "We'll miss you Diaz. No matter what happens you'll never walk alone."

While one suggested that she could be thanking fans after Diaz had signed a new contract with the club, writing: "Superb write up. It serves them well for new contract or goodbye."
