Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign a former Manchester United target who is available for a shockingly low price.
Days after celebrating winning their 20th league title with a Premier League trophy parade, Liverpool confirmed their first transfer of what is expected to be a busy summer as Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong joined the squad.
But Arne Slot won't stop there as the Reds have been linked with several other big names in the transfer window including Frimpong's former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Florian Wirtz and Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez.

And now, Liverpool have reportedly joined the race to sign another top talent who was once targeted by Manchester United, and if they can pull a deal off it could be the biggest bargain of the summer transfer window.

According to a report from CaughtOffside,, Liverpool have added Bayern Munich centre back Kim Min-jae to their list of targets as they look to overhaul their defence.
With contract negotiations for star player Ibrahima Konate stalling and backup player Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah linked with moves away from Anfield, it looks like Liverpool may be hoping to bring another central defender into the squad.

Sporting director Richard Hughes had hoped to raid his former club Bournemouth for centre-half Dean Huijsen, but ultimately missed out as young defender opted to join Real Madrid instead.
Therefore, Kim could be the perfect option for Liverpool with the South Korean defender's future with the German champions uncertain.
After an impressive season with Napoli, Kim joined the Bundesliga giants in 2023 for a reported fee of €50million (£42.1m) and has gone on to make 79 appearances.
However, with the imminent arrival of new defender Jonathan Tah, it is believed that Kim could be up for sale, with Bayern willing to accept a fee of as little as €30-35m (£25.3-29.5m), a massive 40% drop from what they paid just two years ago.

The Korean defender would likely be open to a move to Liverpool given the fact he has been heavily linked with several Premier League sides in the past, including Manchester United and Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur.
And if reports are to be believed, it wouldn't be the first time that Liverpool were interested in signing the Korean defender, after links for a move appeared following Virgil van Dijk's lengthy injury in January 2023.
But the Reds won't be the only club interested in signing Kim should it become clear the 28-year-old is available for such a low price, with, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan all believed to be monitoring the situation.
