It promises to be a busy summer ahead for those behind the scenes at Liverpool, with many urging the club to back their new manager and make several new additions. So, who should they sign?
What we do know is that Andoni Iraola, who recently guided Bournemouth to the highest league finish in their history, will engage in formal talks with Liverpool this week over becoming their new head coach.
It comes after Arne Slot was relieved of his duties after a disappointing fifth-place finish in the Premier League.
Robbie Fowler recently claimed Liverpool need "five or six players as a minimum" this summer, with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate, who are all leaving on free transfers, needing to be replaced.

Iraola, meanwhile, could raid soon-to-be former club Bournemouth for signings, according to The Sun, who namedrop Alex Scott and Rayan as potential additions.
Rayan, who joined Bournemouth from Vasco da Gama in January for £24.7 million, is attracting interest after registering five goals and two assists in the league, while Scott has been a regular starter under Iraola this season.

A lack of protection in the middle of the park has been one of Liverpool's biggest weaknesses in recent months and Scott, who earned his first England call-up in November, would help fill those gaps.
The above report suggests Scott could be tempted to seal an immediate reunion with Iraola if the opportunity arises, while Rayan is dubbed an exciting replacement for the outgoing Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool should make move for Junior Kroupi
With Hugo Ekitike expected to be out until January with an Achilles injury, Liverpool will likely need attacking reinforcements if they are to avoid relying too heavily on Alexander Isak, who has also had his fair share of fitness worries.
Bournemouth striker Junior Kroupi would certainly help alleviate that pressure.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Cherries from FC Lorient for around £12 million, became the highest-scoring teenager in a debut Premier League season after netting 13 times across the 2025-26 campaign.
Speaking about Kroupi in April, Iraolo was full of praise for the teenager.
“I think Junior has been a big challenge for me this season, one of the biggest challenges because we noticed straightaway that he has special things. His finishing is top for me," the Spaniard said.
“But we had to work a lot with him and, especially, he has had to do a lot of work that he wasn’t used to to win his minutes.
“He has become a much better player for me. I know he had a good start and scored goals but I try not to talk to him about goals because this is something which is natural and he will always have it."
