Fabrizio Romano has given Liverpool fans a huge update about their next signing after Jeremie Frimpong.

Just weeks after Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold confirmed that he would be leaving the club as a free agent at the end of the season, Liverpool appear to have signed a replacement in Frimpong.

Liverpool triggered the €35million release clause in the Dutch international's Beyer Leverkusen contract and will officially be unveiled him as a new signing in the coming days.

But transfer guru Romano has revealed that the Reds aren't done there, as they will now turn their focus to bringing in their next signing, as Arne Slot looks to overhaul his squad.

According to Romano's latest post on X, Liverpool have now officially contacted Bournemouth over a deal for left-back Milos Kerkez, with talks now advancing.

While they negotiate with Bournemouth over a transfer fee, Liverpool are also holding discussions with the Hungarian international over the personal terms of a potential contract.

Kerkez hasn't exactly been subtle about his desire to move to another club this summer, with him telling The Athletic in March: "As a kid, you dream to play at the highest level, win the trophies, be on the best teams... In the summer, we will see what happens."

And it's no secret that the 21-year-old is keen a move to Anfield, with the star defender regularly teasing the move on social media.

The exact details of the transfer fee that Bournemouth will received for Kerkez or the wages he will expect at Liverpool are not yet known, but it is expected that both details will be easily organised shortly.

Transfer journalist Nicolo Schira revealed further details of the deal for Kerkez, claiming that Bournemouth are looking for £45-50m for Kerekz, who will sign a five-year deal with Liverpool, keeping him there until 2030.

Kerkez has stood out as one of Bournemouth's star players this season, making 39 appearances across all competitions.

He joined from Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar in 2023 for a fee of £15.5 million and his since attracted the interest of the likes of Man City, AC Milan and Napoli.
