Mohamed Salah has given the green light to join a new club after the World Cup following his departure from Liverpool, it has been claimed.
Salah left Liverpool by mutual consent following the final game of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
He signed a two-year contract last April but both parties agreed to end it a season early.
The Egypt winger told beIN Sports after his final match for the Reds that he was 'still assessing things', and would make his decision after the World Cup unless a 'good opportunity' emerged prior to then.

Salah has heavily linked with moving to a club based in the Saudi Pro League, which attempted to sign him in the summer of 2024.
But he has now given the 'green light' to make the move to a surprise club in Europe instead.
Fenerbahce presidential candidate Aziz Yildrim claimed that he would make a move to sign Salah if he got re-elected last week.
He stated to reporters: "He would ask for a three-year contract, and the total cost would be €90 million. If he is our urgent need, we will sign him! Our football committee will decide on these matters."
Yildrim's comments do have to be taken with a pinch of salt, given that his rival candidate Hakan Safi also promised the signing of Mason Greenwood, while there was speculation over Robert Lewandowski joining the club after the expiry of his Barcelona contract.

Yildrim ultimately won the presidential race and was appointed as Fenerbahce president for a second time on June 7. He was previously in charge of the club between 1998 and 2018 before being replaced by Ali Koc.
His Salah comments were backed up by Ertan Torunogullari, who worked under the previous board at Fenerbahce under the outgoing Sadettin Saran.
He revealed that Salah was 'very keen' to move to Turkey and that he had held 'extremely positive meetings' with the now former Liverpool star.
When will Salah play at the World Cup?
Salah has been named in Egypt's 26-man squad, as captain, for the 2026 World Cup this summer.
The African nation have been drawn into Group G, where they will take on Belgium, New Zealand and Iran
Their opening game against Belgium takes place in Seattle on June 15, before they travel to co-hosts Canada to face New Zealand in Vancouver on June 21.
Egypt's final group fixture is against Iran, which is due to take place on June 26 - again in Seattle.
Speaking after the squad landed in the US ahead of the tournament, Salah said (via ESPN): "I think we just need to focus on our camp and just train hard, and we'll see in the group.
"We want to make the people proud, and we'll do our best.
"It's a tough group. Everybody has a chance. We'll give it our best, and we'll see. Hopefully we can go far."
