Liverpool players have responded to Mohamed Salah's explosive social media post, which many believe is a clear dig at manager Arne Slot.
The Reds slipped to a crushing 4-2 defeat against Aston Villa on Friday evening, leaving their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League in the balance.
Villa were ruthless and punished a Liverpool defence which has now conceded 76 goals this season. That is the most they've conceded in a 38-game campaign, while they've not exactly been purring up top.
Both of their goals scored at Villa Park were headers from captain Virgil van Dijk, a far cry from Liverpool teams of old.

Salah, who has already confirmed he will be leaving the club at the end of this season, came on as a second-half substitute with the game already going in the home side's favour.
The Egypt international has had his fair share of run-ins with Slot. Back in December, he suggested he'd been 'thrown under the bus' and used as a scapegoat for Liverpool's poor form.
He and Slot appeared to put their differences behind them as Liverpool sought a positive end to the campaign.
All that changed on Saturday afternoon. Salah posted a message to X and Instagram, appearing to slam Liverpool's ponderous style of play under the Dutchman.
He also used the phrase 'heavy metal football', synonymous with former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
Salah said: "I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions.
"It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
"Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies.
"That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it. Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
"Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on."

How Liverpool players reacted to Salah's post
It didn't take long for Salah's teammates to make their feelings clear. Curtis Jones left a clapping emoji in the comments before posting a statement of his own. The 25-year-old said: "Thank you for your continued support in a disappointing season. It’s way off the standards expected at this football club."
Among the 324,000 people to like Salah's post are several of his Liverpool teammates, some of whom were even signed by Slot.
In addition to Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai, Hugo Ekitike, Andy Robertson, Wataru Endo, Milos Kerkez, Giovanni Leoni, Jeremie Frimpong and Calvin Ramsay have all liked Salah's post. Harvey Elliott, who has spent the season on loan with Villa, also liked the post.
