Meanwhile, the pick of the opening weekend is Manchester United vs Arsenal at Old Trafford, which will take place on Sunday, August 17.
Liverpool will be looking to win their 21st top flight title but will likely be without Salah for a number of matches due to the latest edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.
AFCON will take place between December 21, 2025 and January 18, 2026, which means that Salah could miss as many as six matches, depending on how far Egypt go.

In the scenario that Salah travels to AFCON a week before Egypt's first match, which will take place on December 22, the 33-year-old should be able to play Liverpool's match against Brighton, which is pencilled in for December 13.

From there, if Egypt manage to go all the way to the final, Salah will miss the following matches (Fixture dates accurate on the date of release, subject to change) -
Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool - December 20

Liverpool vs Wolverhampton Wanderers - December 27
Liverpool vs Leeds United - December 30
Fulham vs Liverpool - January 3
Arsenal vs Liverpool - January 7
Advert
Liverpool vs Burnley - January 17
The above-mentioned fixture dates could change later on in the season when games are picked for live broadcast.
In addition, Salah could miss further matches depending on Liverpool's status in other cup competitions, such as the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
With the final of AFCON taking place on January 18, Salah could be back for Liverpool's away trip to Bournemouth, which is currently scheduled for January 24.

It has to be said that Liverpool will not be the only side impacted by AFCON, as most Premier League teams will have players travelling to Morocco for the tournament.
To name a few, the likes of Rayan Ait Nouri (Manchester City), Andre Onana (Manchester United), Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea) and Yoane Wissa (Brentford) will all likely be involved in AFCON.
