Liverpool star brutally snubs teammate Mo Salah from his top three players as he names 'deserved' Ballon d'Or winner

Mohamed Salah wasn't included in his teammate's Ballon d'Or list.

Mohamed Salah's Liverpool teammate brutally snubbed him from his top three players for the Ballon d'Or as he named his 'deserved' winner.

Salah enjoyed a spectacular campaign last season as he helped Liverpool win the Premier League title.

He scored an impressive 34 goals in 52 matches across all competitions, winning the Premier League Golden Boot award in the process.

The Egyptian star is thought to be in the running for the prestigious Ballon d'Or following his heroics in front of goal.

Even though Salah has been ultra-prolific at Liverpool, he's been overlooked for the Ballon d'Or on several occasions.

His best finish is fifth, having finished in that position twice during his career.

Following Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League triumph over Inter Milan, Ousmane Dembele has been tipped to win the coveted individual award, with Ibrahima Konate backing his fellow countryman to win the prize at the expense of his club colleague.

What's more, Konate didn't even mention Salah's name when discussing the candidates for the Ballon d'Or.

"We talk about Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe... But no one talks about Ousmane Dembele. He has delivered an exceptional season." he said. "I have honestly no other words to describe it. Nobody expected it. I’m the happiest man for him. In all honesty, the most deserving Ballon d’Or winner is Ousmane Dembele."

Salah has been hellbent on winning the Ballon d'Or over the years and speaking to Gary Neville, he admits he would love to win it before he calls time on his legendary career.

Asked if the Ballon d'Or is a major target, the 32-year-old replied: "It used to drive me crazy before. Some stuff is not in your hands so you give up in that direction. When you go to work you remind yourself what you want to achieve in the season so it drives you to work harder. I'd love to win it one day. But if it didn't happen, I don't know what to do.

"I'm sure there's a good chance to win it this year, but we'll see."
