Barcelona star Raphinha has appeared to aim a cheeky dig at Ballon d'Or rival Ousmane Dembele on social media.

Raphinha, 28, enjoyed a stellar season with Barcelona as Hansi Flick's men managed to win a domestic treble, lifting the Copa del Rey, Supercopa de Espana and the La Liga title.

During what was a brilliant individual season, Raphinha managed 34 goals and 25 assists in 57 appearances across all competitions.

As a result, the Brazilian is firmly in the conversation to win the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.

However, Raphinha will be up against the likes of Dembele, Lamine Yamal and Mohamed Salah.

Recently, after Paris Saint Germain's victory in the UEFA Champions League final, Frenchman Dembele was named as the best player of this year's competition.

Taking to social media, Barcelona fan page For Blaugrana implied that Raphinha should've picked up the award by listing his stats from the Champions League.

Raphina ended the tournament with 13 goals and eight assists, more than any other player.

The 28-year-old also created the most chances and the most big chances.

It was then spotted that Raphinha seemed to agree as he was seen 'liking' the Instagram post.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: "Raphinha know he got robbed lol."

Another tweeted: "They robbed him actually."

A third fan added: "Bro is in pain."

Someone else wrote: "Bro is gonna destroy Champions League next season."

A fifth commented: "We love you Rapha."

Speaking last month, Raphinha named six players who could beat him to the Ballon d'Or.

In an interview with Brazilian journalist Isabela Pagliari, he said: "Ballon d'Or? Lamine [Yamal], Salah, Mbappe too. Pedri, for me, one of the best players in the world.

"Vinicius, for me, is always a candidate, even if his numbers are slightly below last year. And, of course, Rodrygo would be considered. He's spectacular, phenomenal, out of the ordinary, one of the best I've ever seen."
