Liverpool fans spot Curtis Jones 'trolling' Newcastle about Alexander Isak transfer saga in new video

Liverpool fans have spotted what Curtis Jones did in a new video as the transfer saga involving Alexander Isak continues.

Newcastle striker Isak is Liverpool's top striker target for the remainder of the summer after they completed a move for Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt.

But negotiations with the Magpies are proving to be challenging, with Newcastle turning down a £110 million bid for the striker earlier this month.

According to the Daily Mail's Craig Hope, Isak will remain a Magpies player post-transfer window as things stand, though the club have been working on a solution that would see them sign multiple 'palatable' replacements for the Swede and then sell him for maximum value.

He is currently 'on strike', it is added, and will not feature in Newcastle's opening Premier League match of the season at Aston Villa on Saturday.

Should Isak move to Anfield, he would become the latest major signing in what has been a significant summer for the Reds.

They have already signed five senior players during the current window, and have agreed a deal to sign 18-year-old centre-back Giovanni Leoni from Parma.

The Reds are also in talks with Crystal Palace, as per Fabrizio Romano, over a cut-price deal for Marc Guehi, who is inside the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park.

The club have raised the funds to buy Isak by selling Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez for a combined fee of over £100 million.

And while Liverpool players have neither spoken out or been asked to comment on speculation involving the Newcastle striker, fans are convinced that midfielder Jones has addressed it in a new video.

In the video, which was posted by the Premier League's official account on Thursday, various players are filmed performing their 'trademark celebration'.

But Liverpool supporters spotted that Jones performed Isak's trademark celebration, by putting his thumb up and gesturing behind him.

One wrote: "Interesting choice of celebration from Jones there."

A second stated: "Curtis Jones knows Isak is coming."

A third said: "0:48 we see you Curtis."

And a fourth added: "Curtis Jones our starboy."
