Ekitike, 23, is one of the most highly rated forwards in Europe, having scored 22 goals and assisted 12 in 48 appearances across all competitions.
The Premier League champions have been chasing a new striker this summer, having been linked with the likes of Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.

After facing difficulties in their push to sign Isak from Newcastle United, it looks like Liverpool are going to try and agree a deal for Ekitike as quickly as possible.
