Jürgen Klopp has already sent Arne Slot a warning regarding Harvey Elliott as the 22-year-old has impressed at the Under-21 Euros.
Elliott, 22, scored a brace in the Young Lions’ 2-1 semi-final victory over the Netherlands, which saw them progress to Saturday’s final against Germany.
The Liverpool man has scored four times in this summer’s tournament and has stood out among his fellow youngsters. However, he has still been linked with a potential move away from Slot’s side.

As reported by Liverpool.com, five clubs – Brighton, Fulham, West Ham, RB Leipzig and Fiorentina – are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old who struggled to nail down a starting spot as Liverpool won the Premier League in 2024/25.
When speaking earlier this month, Elliott admitted that he does not want to be “wasting years” of his career having made just 28 appearances so far under Slot, 46.

"It's just a situation that me and the team have to have a conversation about because I'm coming into an age now where I'm 22, I'm going to be 23 next season,” Elliott said.

"I don't really want to be wasting years on my career because it's a short career. You don't know what's going to happen.
"I need to reflect. I need to see if I'm content in doing what I'm doing and how can I can improve as a player because that's the most important thing.”
However, he was also keen to stress how “nothing makes me want to leave” Liverpool as he loves the club and its fans.
But the Reds have since signed Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, who will likely be ahead of Elliott in the pecking order at Anfield.

Former Liverpool boss Klopp, 58, previously referenced Elliott when naming his biggest regret during his time on Merseyside.
"It's not that I go back and think, 'OK, what did we all do wrong?' But if I regret one thing a little bit, it's that Harvey didn't play often enough maybe,” Klopp said in May 2024.
"Because in a very important, intense period – January, a lot of injuries – he played really good. He was probably our best player – right wing, right midfield, all these kinds of things.
"Everybody came back and he had minutes here, minutes there and he didn't start anymore.”
What has Arne Slot said about Harvey Elliott?
In May of 2025, Slot explained why Elliott did not feature as often as the player may have liked.

“Harvey is one of the players who hasn’t had as much playing time as he maybe deserves, but like some others he’s in competition with so many good players that mainly I’ve chosen," Slot said.
“Also partly because he was injured for a long time and I’ve been honest with him, the first part after he came back from his injury he wasn’t the same as he was before his injury.
“But the last few months he’s back to his old level again."
