Liverpool have set their asking price for Harvey Elliott amid reports that he could be set to leave the club this summer.

As the dust starts to settle on Liverpool's impressive campaign to claim the 2024/25 Premier League title, the focus at Anfield has started to shift to the upcoming transfer window.

Ahead of the transfer window opening on June 1, Liverpool will be weighing up making moves for several big names, with the likes of Alexander Isak and Milos Kerkez linked with a Merseyside move.

Of course, several players are also expected to leave Anfield in the summer, including Elliott who appears to have fallen out with Liverpool boss Arne Slot.

Since Slot's arrival at the beginning of the season, Elliott has started only one Premier League game for Liverpool, leading to him admitting that he is considering his future at the club.

Should Elliott decide to leave Liverpool in the summer, several clubs are expected to be interested in signing him, including Wolverhampton Wanderers who may need to replace Manchester United target Mattheus Cunha should he be sold.

And it would appear that Slot is open to the move, as a report from talkSPORT has claimed that Liverpool would accept offers in excess of £40million for the talented midfielder.

In total, Elliott has made 25 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season, with 20 of them coming from the bench.

For this reason, former Spurs and Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood suggested that the 22-year-old should look to move away from Liverpool in the near future.

Speaking back in March, Sherwood told Sky Sports: "The trouble is for players like Harvey Elliott, I watched him and I was really impressed with what I saw. The other boys are coming onto the pitch, he's made five subs there, and still no Harvey Elliott and you know, he's not happy. He sat there and his face was so angry and annoyed.

"I quite admire that. You know, that boy is not going to sit there and just not play. He will want to leave that football club, I know it's a brilliant club if he can fight his way into the team, but if he's not going to play on a regular basis."
