Former Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag could give Liverpool fans a huge boost and make their transfer window even more special.

The Premier League champions have already signed Jeremie Frimpong from Bayern Leverkusen.

Their raid on Leverkusen is going to continue as Florian Wirtz is expected to have his medical with the club soon and sign for a record transfer fee.

The German club are managed by former United boss Erik Ten Hag, who was sacked last season by United.

However, even after moving from England, Ten Hag has given a major boost to Liverpool fans.

Leverkusen are linked to a move with defender Jarell Quansah for a price that is expected to be around €30m to €45m.

Fans excited with after hearing Quansah transfer fee

Quansah came through the Liverpool academy and made his debut for the club in 2023.

He has put in a few good performances for the club, but there have also been instances were Quansah has shown lack of composure that has cost them goals.

Although that did not stop them from winning the Premier League title last year, it was clear that Quansah was not a player the club could rely upon.

His name being linked to Leverkusen gave fans a huge boost as a sale for him would bring the club pure profit, which would be great for their standing in PSR.

Expectations are that Quansah could attract deals between €30m to €45m, which has led to excitement among fans on X.

A fan said: "£35M for Quansah is like selling a ford fiesta for Ferrari money Richard Hughes is Del Boy in disguise."

While another pointed out how Quansah's transfer fee made the Wirtz deal cheaper for the club.

"Quansah is taking 40m off the 100m Wirtz deal. Wow, we’ve done it again," he wrote.

Liverpool looking to Marc Guehi

If Quansah was to leave the club, Liverpool would need an option to fill the vacant centre back spot at the club.

Virgil van Dijk is world class and Ibrahima Konate is a solid player alongside him, but depth is everything in how many games the Premier League and cups now demands of professionals.

According to DaveOCKOP, the club have held talks with Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi The England international has been linked with a move away from Palace for a long time.

With his current contract entering its final year, clubs like Chelsea and Newcastle have expressed interest in Guehi, but Palace's asking price is around €70 million, which is why talks have continued progressing but no agreement between teams have reached yet.

Liverpool have already had a big summer, but the Reds had a quiet transfer window last year and also secured the Premier League title, which gives them freedom to make a few moves.

Defence is an area they need to improve on as alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, they stand the chance of losing Andrew Robertson and even Quansah, which means Arne Slot will need to fill spots in those positions as well.
