Liverpool Hold Key to Outrageous Swap Deal That Could Save Arne Slot’s Season

The Premier League champions could already be planning their next statement signing.

Liverpool could offer one of their fiercest rivals a massive swap deal that could completely change Arne Slot's season.

It's been just seven weeks since the transfer window officially shut after a summer that saw some of the biggest clubs in the world make several major signings.

After Arne Slot led them to the Premier League title in his first season, Liverpool were undoubtedly one of the biggest spenders in the summer, bringing the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak to Anfield.

In total, Liverpool spent around around £449million in the summer, assuming all bonuses are met, and despite this, reports are already suggesting that the Reds are busy planning their next moves in the market.

Several players have been linked with a transfer to Liverpool, and there's one that Slot might be able to bring to Anfield as part of a swap deal that could help him change what has so far been a difficult start to the season.

While Liverpool may have won the end of the transfer window, Real Madrid likely won the start of it having signed several big players including former Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

It's long been reported that Real Madrid's pursuit of Liverpool's best players won't stop there, as they have been strongly linked with centre back Ibrahima Konate ahead of his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Konate would be the latest addition to the 15-time Champions League winner's already impressive back line after Alexander-Arnold, centre-back Dean Huijsen and left-back Alvaro Carreras joined last summer.

But in order to make space for the Frenchman on Real Madrid's wage books, it has been reported that the Spanish giants have decided against renewing the contract of Antonio Rudiger ahead of its expiration in July.

However, Liverpool could offer their European rivals an alternative solution that would even allow Konate to leave the club for free in January.

Alongside Rudiger, another player that has seemingly fallen out of favour with Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is Eduardo Camavinga, who is reportedly 'bitter' about how he has been treated since the Spaniard's arrival.

So far this season, the midfielder has played just 141 minutes, leading to rumours that he could be eager to leave the club in the near future.

If this is the case, then Liverpool could offer themselves as a potential next club for the Frenchman, providing an opportunity for an agreement that would see both Camavinga and Konate move in January.

Should Liverpool finally sign Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi in January, having previously came close to doing so on deadline day, it would make perfect sense to allow Konate to leave in order to secure some kind of payback for his departure.

If Camavinga's signature was part of this comeback, it could prove to be a transformative deal for Slot, who could use the two-time Champions League winner in place of Alexis Mac Allister, who has struggled this season.
