Real Madrid Star in 'Training Ground Bust-Up With Jude Bellingham' Could Be Axed

The star player has reportedly fallen out of favour with Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso.

A Real Madrid star that was involved in a fight with Jude Bellingham on the training ground could be let go next summer.

It's been just six weeks since one of the busiest summer transfer windows in recent history closed on September 1.

Although much of the focus was on the major signings made by top Premier League clubs, La Liga giants Real Madrid were also busy in the window, bringing four new players to the club including former Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

And it appears that the Spanish side aren't slowing down their transfer business, as they are reportedly already planning their moves for next summer.

However, it isn't just new signings that they are working on, as Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso is said to be willing to part ways with a star player who was once involved in a controversial bust-up with teammate Bellingham.

Ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window, it has been widely reported that Real Madrid will look to add another star centre-back to their squad, with Liverpool's Ibrahima Konate believed to be the top target.

Konate would be the latest addition to the 15-time Champions League winner's already impressive back line after Alexander-Arnold, centre-back Dean Huijsen and left-back Alvaro Carreras joined last summer.

But in order to make way for the Frenchman's arrival, a report from German outlet Bild has revealed that Real Madrid have decided against renewing the contract of Antonio Rudiger ahead of its expiration at the end of the season.

The German international has been a key figure for Los Blancos over the past three years, making 157 appearances since his arrival from Chelsea on a free transfer.

However, the defender has fallen out of favour with current manager Alonso, with reports suggesting that the Spaniard has not been impressed with Rudiger's performances this season.

Add to this the fact that he will turn 33 next year and is on a reported annual gross salary of around £12m, and Madrid officials are hesitant to offer Rudiger a new deal at the end of the current campaign.

Rudiger involved in tense training ground clash with Bellingham

One player who may not be too upset to see Rudiger go at the end of the season should Real Madrid decide not to extend his deal is England star Bellingham.

Ahead of their Champions League quarter-final second leg clash with Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabeu last season, the pair are said to have argued after the German centre-back made a cynical tackle in training.

However, when asked about altercation in his post-match press conference, Bellingham played down the altercation, saying: “It’s football, it’s normal on the pitch that emotions get high.

“You communicate with team-mates louder than you’d communicate with your mum and dad.

“For every negative interaction you see, there’s 20 positive interactions."
