Arne Slot has reportedly already decided to sell two massive players are their disappointing performance in the Carabao Cup final.

On Sunday, Liverpool failed to win back-to-back Carabao Cup finals as a dismal display allowed Newcastle United to comfortably take home their first trophy in 70 years.

Several players produced lacklustre performances during the match, leading to significant frustration from both fans online and in attendance at Wembley.

And now, Slot has reportedly had enough with two of his players as he has reportedly given the green light to sell them in what will be a massive summer at Anfield.

Although there are several areas that Liverpool will likely need to strengthen in when the transfer window reopens in June, there are perhaps none more clear than in attack.

Even if sporting director Richard Hughes can convince star player Mohamed Salah to pen a new deal ahead of his current contract expiring in the summer, a new report has claimed that it is looking increasingly likely that both Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez could leave at the end of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, interest from the Saudi Pro League in Nunez remains strong after their reported failed attempt to sign the Uruguayan for around £62.4million in January.

Saudi clubs are said to not have been put off by Liverpool's previous reluctance to sell Nunez and see him as a part of the plan as the whole league plan major investment in 2025.

Should Liverpool or Nunez decide against a move to Saudi Arabia, then La Liga club Atletico Madrid are also said to be considering a move for the striker in the summer.

As for Diaz, Barcelona are reportedly the front runners to make a move in the summer as they have kept tabs on the winger for some time.

The report claims that the Spanish giants will definitely strengthen their already impressive front three this summer, and see Diaz as the perfect option should he be available.

However, before they make a move for the Colombian, it is believed that Barcelona will once again make an attempt to sign long-term target Nico Williams, who is reportedly eager to make the move if Barca trigger his £48.7million release clause.
