One of Liverpool's top player has reportedly made a massive u-turn regarding his future amid links to a Spanish giant.
Having won their 20th English domestic title with a Premier League winning victory over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, Liverpool will no doubt already be thinking about the upcoming summer transfer window.
Although much of Liverpool's focus will be on bringing in new players to help defend their newly won title, they will also have to consider selling some of their current squad to make way for new arrivals.

But one player who appeared to be destined to leave Anfield in the summer has now reportedly changed his mind despite interest from one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
After completing just two transfers all season, one of which immediately left Anfield on loan, Arne Slot has promised that his second summer in charge will be considerably busier.
In terms of outgoings, several reports have claimed that at least two of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and or Diogo Jota will leave Liverpool this summer to allow Slot to bring in new forwards, such as reported top target Alexander Isak.

However, according to Football365, Diaz has made the unexpected decision to try and reach an agreement with Liverpool to stay at the club for the foreseeable future.
Throughout the season it has been believed that the 28-year-old was set to leave Liverpool after contract renewal conversations appeared to stall amid interest from the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and several clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

The report adds that a Spanish outlet has claimed that the Colombian international, who has scored 16 goals and registered eight assists this season, is viewed as one of Barcelona's 'biggest desires' and club chiefs have been left shocked by his decision.

Diaz was reportedly seen as the ideal fit for Hansi Flick's impressive side, with the club said to feel betrayed by him considering renewing his Liverpool deal having held discussions with Barcelona throughout the season.
As it stands, Diaz is under contract with Liverpool until 2027, but a report from Sky Sports confirmed that talks to extend this deal will get underway in the summer.
