Liverpool fans have hailed the 'best moment of the match' after spotting Harvey Elliott's ruthless gesture to Richarlison.

Liverpool were crowned Premier League champions following their 5-1 demolition of Tottenham on Sunday.

It's their 20th league title in the club's storied history and their second in the Premier League era.

Liverpool will be painted red as they celebrate their latest league triumph.

Across the city, Everton have gone 30 years without a major honour.

And Elliott, who entered the fray as a second-half substitute, made that clear when he clashed with former Everton man Richarlison.

Richarlison's substitution was met with a chorus of boos considering his ties with Everton.

And in stoppage time, the Brazilian was involved in a bust-up with Elliott.

The 22-year-old shoved Richarlison before making a '30' gesture with his hands, referencing Everton's long-standing trophy draught.

Liverpool fans online loved Elliott's taunt aimed at Richarlison and Everton.

One X user wrote: "Harvey Elliott giving Richarlison the '30 years' might actually be the best moment of that whole match."

A second tweeted: "Best part of today was Harvey Elliott taking the p*ss out of Richarlison."

A third added: "Harvey Elliott achieving hero status for giving Richarlison a 30 years gesture."

Another commented: "Harvey Elliott doing the Lord's work on Richarlison."

It's Elliott's first Premier League title after he failed to qualify for a medal in their title-winning season in 2020.

Liverpool's achievement is also Arne Slot's first Premier League title following his appointment last summer.

Speaking after the game, the Dutch boss said: "It's difficult to put into words. You can feel how important it was for the fans to be here.

"We always come back, we always find a way to win. I don't think we could have lost today.

"Our main focus was to win this game, if you are a part of it you still feel the pressure of getting the points over the line.

"For the whole season, we were on top of the league, but you also know how hard the Premier League is. The belief for us to win it was here throughout the season."

Liverpool are set to receive a guard of honour against Chelsea when they resume their league campaign next Sunday.
