One Liverpool star that Arne Slot wants to keep has been linked with a club-record move away from Anfield.
With the Jurgen Klopp era now over, all eyes are focused on how Dutchman Slot will build on the strong foundation Klopp and his coaching staff have laid down.
Speaking during his first interview with the club, the 45-year-old former AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord boss said: âWe were all inspired by Guardiola and Klopp and I think at a big club, which I worked in in Feyenoord as well.
âIt is probably the only style you can play - to have the ball a lot, to have a lot of energy, and also now there are comparisons between the club I left behind and the club I am going to work for now.â

With the transfer window now open, Liverpool are yet to bring in any new faces and it has been reported that Dutch side PSV Eindhoven are looking to lure one player away from Anfield.
Defender Sepp van den Berg has been linked with a move away from Merseyside after impressing on loan at German side Mainz 05 during the 23/24 season.
According to Dutch news outlet Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV are looking to do a deal to bring Van den Berg to the Eredivisie.
It has been claimed that Liverpool would like a transfer fee of âŹ20 million for the 22-year-old but PSV are looking to spend around âŹ15 million to âŹ16 million.
If PSV manage to spend âŹ16 million on Van den Berg, he will become the clubâs record transfer.

However, it was previously claimed that Slot is willing to hand Van den Berg a chance to impress during pre-season.
As reported by The Athletic, Van den Berg recorded the highest average speed during Liverpoolâs pre-season fitness tests.
Last month, Van den Berg spoke about his future to De Telegraaf, via The Athletic: â(Liverpool) didnât exude confidence in me all this time, but you do want to hinder my future.
âI want to keep playing every week and develop myself further.â
