Fabrizio Romano has dropped a fresh update on the future of Newcastle star Alexander Isak as the saga surrounding the Swede's potential move to Liverpool continues.
Isak returned to Newcastle's training ground at the beginning of the week after spending time away from the club and missing their pre-season tour of Asia.
The Magpies rejected a bid worth £110 million from Liverpool for the 25-year-old, who have yet to return with a second offer.

The bid is below the club's reported asking price of £150 million.
However, Isak is not yet training with the first team squad again, with manager Eddie Howe stating that he 'can't involve him' at the current time.
In the meantime, The Telegraph's Luke Edwards reported on Saturday that Newcastle have informed Isak he will not be leaving the club to join Liverpool this summer.
The situation now appears to have changed again in the past hours, with Romano adopting a different stance in what is a significant update.

Taking to his YouTube channel, Romano claimed that a deal for Isak to move to Anfield is 'absolutely on, absolutely concrete and absolutely likely'.
"Over the morning, we had some news saying that Newcastle communicated to Alexander Isak that he's not going to be sold this summer," Romano said. "I'm not aware of that, and also Eddie Howe says he's not aware of that.
"Alexander Isak wants to go to Liverpool. He doesn't want to extend his contract. He wants Liverpool and Liverpool want him.

"That's the story. Now it depends on Newcastle, but at the moment Newcastle have not closed the door on Isak's move to Liverpool. It's still an open story - it's not done as of today. Liverpool maintain their focus on Alexander Isak."
What has Eddie Howe said about Alexander Isak?
Speaking after Newcastle's 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday, Howe gave a significant update on the future of Isak.
He hinted that Newcastle could look to move him on if the Sweden international cannot be reintegrated into the squad - and that the situation has caused discontent among other players.

He said: "He is here, so of course he has a future of Newcastle. From our perspective, we would love to have him back with the team but the situation has to be right for that to happen.
"He doesn't have a fitness issue. I'm aware of a feeling within the squad that there's something there not to the benefit of the group."
