Former Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior is in talks over a surprise return to football - two months after being sacked as Blues manager.
Rosenior replaced Enzo Maresca at the Stamford Bridge helm in January but lasted just over three months in the role.
His final match in charge was a 3-0 defeat to Brighton, which continued a run of five consecutive defeats without scoring.
The 41-year-old, who had signed a five-and-a-half year contract, had guided Chelsea through to the Champions League knockout stages with a come-from-behind 3-2 win at Serie A holders Napoli in the final league phase match.

They then thrashed Aston Villa 4-1 at Villa Park in March, but things began to take a turn for the worst after Chelsea fell apart in the second half of their Champions League knockout round first leg clash at Paris Saint-Germain.
Having twice equalised at the Parc des Princes to make it 2-2, the Blues conceded three goals in the final 16 minutes to effectively end their hopes of progressing to the quarter-finals.
Chelsea won just once in seven matches in all competitions after that - a 7-0 win over League One strugglers Port Vale in the FA Cup - which led to Rosenior's sacking.
Now, however, the Englishman is in talks for what would be a surprise return to management.
Rosenior has been linked with a number of roles in English football, mainly in the Championship, since his departure.
He was listed as one of the potential candidates to take over at Watford, as well as at Southampton if the Saints had parted company with Tonda Eckert following spygate.

And earlier this month, it was claimed by L'Equipe that Ligue 1 side OGC Nice - who are owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe's INEOS - had approached Rosenior to take over as manager, but that he had declined because he wanted to take more time off.
That fact, therefore, makes the identity of his expected next club a surprise one.
According to Foot Mercato's Santi Aouna, Rosenior has officially agreed to join Paris FC as their new manager, with final talks set to be held over his contract.
It is reported that the Ligue 1 side have postponed their start of pre-season training, indicating that a change of manager is imminent. Former PSG boss Antoine Kombouare is currently in charge but, despite only being appointed in February, it appears he will not be at the helm for the long-term.
Kombouare won six of his 11 matches in charge in all competitions, losing just twice.
Are Chelsea still paying Rosenior?
BBC Sport reported that, following Rosenior's sacking, Chelsea had informed him that he would not be entitled to his full £24 million payout.
He was believed to have been on a salary of £4 million per year during his time in charge, which ultimately totalled just 104 days by the time of his departure on April 22.
It is claimed that the Blues issued a break clause into his contract which would only entitle them to pay one year's salary in the case of an early sacking.
New boss Xabi Alonso will no doubt have asked the Chelsea hierarchy to show more faith in him in that respect, with the Spaniard having agreed to a four-year contract to become the latest manager to take charge at Stamford Bridge.
