Newcastle United full-back Kieran Trippier could be seen wearing a mismatched pair of boots during Saturday afternoon's clash against Manchester City.
The 34-year-old, who recently announced his retirement from international football, was named in Eddie Howe's starting line-up for the Premier League fixture at St James' Park.
He started the game wearing a pair of bright orange Adidas X Speedflow's but in the 15th minute, after Jack Grealish blocked his shot, the full-back could be seen touching his right boot.

Moments later, Trippier rushed over the touchline to switch cleats but in an unusual moment, the defender only changed the one as he opted for a purple Puma Ultra.
For the rest of the first-half, Trippier sported Adidas on the left foot and Puma on the right – something that baffled TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher.
"He's going for the odd boot look," he laughed. "Perhaps a new trend in the Premier League."
Fletcher wasn't the only person to express his surprise at the decision.

One fan commented: "Ermmm, why is Kieran Trippier wearing different boots on each foot? Puma on the right, Adidas on the left. He doesn’t do this regularly does he?"
A second wrote: "Kieran Trippier is taking the two different boot trend to a new level," and a third said: "Trippier going for one adidas and one puma boot. You have to respect it, really."
A fourth commented: "Trippier wearing odd boots? Close enough. Welcome back 2014 World Cup," while a fifth added: "Never in my life have I seen a player wear one adidas boot and one puma boot. Trippier are you okay mate?"
After being associated with the brand for over a decade, Trippier recently parted ways with Adidas, according to Footy Headlines.

He has been seen transitioning to Puma of late, but we're not sure he expected to wear both on Saturday afternoon.
Trippier did, however, ditch the Puma boot when he came out for the second-half.

In terms of the game, Manchester City opened the scoring in the 35th minute through Josko Gvardiol, who has scored or assisted six Premier League goals in 2024; the most of any defender.
But in the second-half, Anthony Gordon equalised from the penalty spot after he was brought down by Ederson.
