Jurgen Klopp is one of the most respected managers in world football due to his work first at Borussia Dortmund before what he achieved at Liverpool, and now he may have a chance to return to management.

The German has been out of management since the end of the 2024 campaign, when he opted to walk away from Liverpool after nine years at the helm of the Reds.

In his time with the English side he lifted a Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Club World Cup, adding to the two Bundesliga titles he won with Dortmund along with the DFB-Pokal.

Following his departure from Liverpool, Klopp would take a short break from management, but he has since made a step back into the sport through being appointed Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer in October 2024.

This role could play a key role in convincing the German to make a return to football management, as he has been working closely with Paris FC, as the sports drink brand has an 11% ownership of the French club.

Paris FC finished 11th in Ligue 1 this season, a respectable finish considering it was their first campaign back in the French top flight after a 46-year hiatus.

However, the majority owners of the club, the Arnault family, are incredibly ambitious as they aim to deliver a first-ever piece of silverware to the club and to have them play in the Champions League.

So, who better than Klopp to centre a project around, who has built two clubs and who had been struggling into European elites?

Antoine Arnault spoke to AFTER FOOT about his desire to entice the 58-year-old back to football management after he took some time to refresh his batteries following 23 consecutive seasons in charge of three different clubs.

Arnault said: “Who doesn’t dream of having Jurgen?

“Of course, one day, we dream of seeing him. It won’t be in the short term because he doesn’t want to return to the bench immediately, but maybe in three, four or five years...

“If we qualify for the Champions League, I would love to convince him to come and coach our team.”
