Jose Mourinho gives post-match team talk to opposition after his Fenerbahce side beat them 3-0

Jose Mourinho gives post-match team talk to opposition after his Fenerbahce side beat them 3-0

It was a special moment for the Kasimpasa squad.

Jose Mourinho delivered an uplifting post-match speech to the opposition team on Thursday night after his Fenerbahce side recorded a 3-0 win over Kasimpasa.

The self-proclaimed 'Special One' watched on as Super Lig giants Fenerbahce produced a dominant display in the Turkish Cup.

Morocco's Yousser En-Nesyri opened the scoring after just two minutes against a youthful Kasimpasa at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan stadium.

And the game was all but over ahead of the second-half as Yusuf Akcicek and Bartug Elmaz handed the visitors a well-deserved three goal lead in Istanbul.

Mourinho's side never looked at risk of surrendering their healthy lead but the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager was clearly impressed by Kasimpasa's spirit and fight.

After the full-time whistle, he gathered the young team into a small huddle before giving a motivational speech to those in attendance.

As you can see from the footage above, Mourinho looked determined to get his message across – and his actions have been praised by many on social media.

One fan wrote: "Mourinho gives a team talk to the opponent despite beating them. What a special gesture from the Special One," and a second said: "He really is a special one."

A third commented: "He did it because Fenerbahce played their senior team and Kasimpasa played U19s and they've put out a valiant effort."

A fourth said: "If they gave full context to this it makes complete sense. Fenerbahçe played Kasimpasa in the cup last night and played a strong starting lineup while Kasımpaşa had to play their U19s. Many of which were making their professional debuts. Class act from José."

A fifth added: "The special one just loves the game."

As mentioned above, a number of Kasimpasa players came into the game with a lack of first-team experience. Yaman Suakar, for example, featured on Thursday night and is their second youngest ever player.

In fact, at the age of just 15, he played 88 minutes against a strong Fenerbahce side.
