Days after being sacked by the BBC, an awkward television clip of Jermaine Jenas has gone viral, and fans cannot believe it.

On Thursday, it was announced that Jenas' contract with the BBC had been terminated with immediate effect, ending his time on both The One Show and Match of the Day.

Reports from BBC News have claimed that the reason for his removal was due to to 'alleged issues relating to workplace behaviour,' with Jenas later admitting he had sent inappropriate text messages to female coworkers.

Since the news came out, a viral clip has resurfaced of Jenas' appearing on Michael McIntyre's Big Show, and fans can't believe how awkward it is.

In the viral clip, McIntyre takes Jenas' phone and selects a topless photo of the former Tottenham midfielder, before asking if he should send it to everyone on his phone.

The comedian said: "Everyone you know is going to receive that photo. When you look at that, who are you most worried about it going to?"

Jenas, who was visibly uncomfortable, jokingly replied that he was most worried about the photo being sent to the his wife Ellie's mum.

Later in the episode, McIntyre reveals that Jenas had received a response to the photo and it came from a producer on The One Show.

"Well, she's just said, 'I'm sending this to HR'," McIntyre revealed.

Reacting to the clip on X, one fan wrote: "Imagine if Michael McIntyre's got him the boot 😭"

Another added: "yikes, this didn’t age well at all. It’s crazy how quickly things can change."

While one joked, "Watching this now is a whole different experience. Jermaine might want to forget this one! 😅"

A day after being sacked, Jenas released an official statement reacting to the news during an interview with The Sun.

He said: "I am ashamed, and I am deeply sorry.

“I have let myself down, my family, friends and colleagues down, and I owe everyone an apology — especially the women with whom I was messaging. I am so, so sorry.

“I’m not proud of what I wrote and what I said. And I do consider it cheating, yes, although nothing physical ever happened.
