Punter lands 'best bet of the season' during international break and it needs to be seen to be believed

Punter lands 'best bet of the season' during international break and it needs to be seen to be believed

One punter has landed big money during the international break.

One lucky punter has landed arguably the best bet of the season during the latest international break.

This week, domestic football took a step back as the UEFA Nations League moved into centre stage.

On Sunday night, Scotland travelled to Lisbon to take on Roberto Martinez’s Portugal.

Former Manchester United star Scott McTominay headed Scotland in front inside the first 10 minutes to send shockwaves around the Estadio da Luz.

However, Steve Clarke’s men failed to hold onto their advantage as Bruno Fernandes equalised with a stinging drive on the edge of the penalty area in the 54th minute.

With two minutes left of the 90, Portugal great Cristiano Ronaldo tapped home to win the match 2-1.

During the match, one punter posted on social media after landing £1965 from a £15 bet.

The bet consisted of McTominay scoring a header and Fernandes scoring from outside of the penalty area and was priced at 130/1.

Reacting to the post, one fan said: “That’s epic that.”

Another tweeted: “That's the best bet of the season right there.”

A third fan added: “What a random double fair play man.”

Someone else wrote: “That's ridiculous tbh, well done.”

A fifth commented: “That’s a f***in peach of a bet man.”

Another fan said: “That’s a cracker.”

On the back of that bet, the fan posted another bet ahead of the match between France and Belgium on Monday night.

In order for the bet to win, Kylian Mbappe will have to score a header and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne is required to net from outside the penalty area.

The bet is priced at 180/1 and the punter could land a return of £2715.

2018 World Cup winners France are looking to bounce up after they lost 3-1 against Italy last week at the Parc des Princes.
