Harry Kane didn't hesitate when ranking Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and Wayne Rooney in GOAT strikers list

Harry Kane didn't hesitate when ranking Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and Wayne Rooney in GOAT strikers list

England captain Harry Kane ranks the greatest strikers of all time and former teammate ends up outside the top three

Harry Kane knows a thing or two about what it takes to be a world-class striker. He also knows the score when it comes to ranking the greatest strikers of all time.

The England captain was quick off the mark when GOAL asked him to rank five of the best including Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, Chelsea game-changer Didier Drogba and Wayne Rooney, Kane's former England teammate and an iconic striker for Manchester United.

Kane placed Rooney fourth in his quick-fire ranking ahead of fifth-placed Drogba. The Bayern Munich striker initially put Zlatan Ibrahimovic in second ahead of Henry but swapped them given the chance, putting Sweden's all-time top goal scorer ahead of fellow former Man Utd forward Rooney in third and moving Henry into second spot.

The four Premier League alumni were all beaten into first place without hesitation by Kane, who immediately chose first place for a two-time Ballon d'Or winner with three World Player of the Year Awards and two World Cup winner's medals to his name.

Kane named Ronaldo Nazario as a reflex, reinforcing his status as the greatest striker of all time in the eyes of many players and fans all over the world. He scored 62 times in 98 appearances for Brazil, winning the World Cup as an unused squad member in 1994 and a global icon in 2002.

Ronaldo won widespread acclaim during a successful but injury-ravaged career in Europe, where spells with Barcelona and Real Madrid as well as both Milan clubs earned him a well deserved reputation as one of the finest to ever play the game. He was already a household name before his infamously dramatic late inclusion in the team for the World Cup final in 1998 and subsequent redemption against Germany in the final in Japan four years later.

England's captain is in his second season at Bayern, where his hunt for a league title goes on. He's scored 61 goals in 61 games since switching to the Bundesliga after rattling in 280 goals for Tottenham Hotspur. It's unknown where he would rank himself against Ronaldo and the rest.
