Harry Kane has named the player he would love to have played with in his career.

Kane, 31, will go down in history as one of the best strikers of his generation having scored 357 goals in 560 club appearances for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Millwall, Leicester City and Bayern Munich.

On the international stage, Kane is the record goalscorer for England after netting 68 goals in 101 caps for his country.

Throughout his career, Kane has played alongside some of the sport's best players such as Wayne Rooney, Gareth Bale, Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller.

However, the Englishman picked out Argentina legend and Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi as someone he would have loved to have played with.

Speaking to ESPN, he explained: "I'd love to play with Messi. One of the greatest players to ever play our game.

"I'm sure he'd be able to give me a few assists!"

Kane may have chosen Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo in the team-mate stakes - but in a separate interview with ESPN, he actually revealed that both players were his inspiration and motivation to become one of the top strikers in world football.

"I think of what they've done, they are as good in their 30s as they were in their 20s.

"Me just turning 30 now, it obviously gives me excitement to know if I keep my body in good shape, and I keep my mentality right, I could be playing at the highest level for as long as I want to do it.

"Those players have set the bar - those and a few others as well. It just motivates me and tells me that it's possible [to keep playing].

"It is great watching those players still performing, two of the greatest players ever to play our game."

Messi has been in fine form for Inter Miami as they continue their push in Major League Soccer.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has been scoring a fair few goals since ditching European football for the Saudi Professional League at the back end of 2023.

Kane has so far scored 17 goals and assisted nine in 15 matches across all competitions for Bayern in the 24/25 campaign.
