Thomas Tuchel will bring an extra three England players to the World Cup despite not including them in his 26-man squad.
Ahead of their opening fixture against Croatia on June 17, the official England squad for the World Cup was confirmed on Friday afternoon by manager Tuchel.
For his first major tournament since replacing Gareth Southgate back in late 2024, Tuchel wasn't afraid to make some big calls, selecting some surprise names while leaving other star players at home.
Phil Foden, Harry Maguire, Cole Palmer, Lewis Hall and Morgan Gibbs-White are among the most notable omissions from the squad, while Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence and Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney are the most unexpected additions.

Since the announcement, many fans and pundits have analysed the squad and listed the various players they believed should have been a part of the 26-man squad.
And now it's actually been revealed that there will be four extra players travelling to the World Cup with England including three uncapped youngsters will be a part of the official England preparation camp in Florida.
During his post-announcement press conference, Tuchel confirmed that Rio Ngumoha, Josh King and Alex Scott, alongside a fourth player yet to be announced, would join the senior team in Florida ahead of the World Cup.
"We will take some young players to train with us and keep the squad the size we need,” Tuchel confirmed on Friday.
"Alex Scott. Rio Ngumoha. Josh King. And there will be one more player we cannot name because it's not confirmed yet.
"But I'm happy these guys are with us, especially Alex who was on the list of 55 and had a disappointing phone call that he didn't make the first cut.
"But the reaction of him was outstanding, the wish to be in pre-camp and close to the team, it wasn't even a question for him.
"I'm glad he's with us because it was a close call and he has a chance to get a first camp."
England's pre-World Cup training camp in south Florida will place in early June, with the squad lands in the United States on June 1 to prepare for the tournament.
Due to the Champions and Conference League finals set to take place at the end of the month, the Arsenal players and Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson won't arrive for the start of the training camp.
Because of this, the English youngsters will play a key role in getting the Three Lions ready for their opening fixtures, with Brighton goalkeeper Jason Steele also a part of the preparation camp.
Steele will then take up a role on England's coaching staff for the tournament.
Alex Scott speaks out after being named in England World Cup reparation squad
Speaking after the announcement, Scott admitted he was disappointed not be included in Tuchel's final squad but was ready to help out in any way he can over the summer.
Speaking to the Daily Echo, he said: “Obviously I’m gutted not to be part of the squad, I'm not too upset because I feel like I've done everything I could have done to be in there.
“But it's obviously nice that they really want me to go there and be a part of the prep camp as well and help the team prepare for the World Cup.
“So that was never an opportunity that I was going to say no to.
“So yeah, I'm looking forward to that. It's going to be great to be around the group again and help prepare for the fixtures in Miami in the heat.
“I can't wait for it. It's going to be amazing. And yeah, fingers crossed I can hopefully make my debut out there.”
