Another country affected by Donald Trump's travel ban could still make it to next summer's World Cup.

Over the international break, qualification has continued to ramp up for next summer's tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

However, there are concerns for some countries over whether President Trump's travel restrictions will impact their participation in the competition.

In June, the latest travel ban came into effect, restricting entry to the country for citizens of12 countries. The list includes: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

There are also partial travel restrictions for a further seven countries: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela. Despite this, Iran have already qualified for next summer's tournament, topping their group in AFC qualifying.

However the country's football federation has claimed that the US have blocked their delegation from entering the country in December for the World Cup draw.

It has added to concerns over whether Iranian supporters will be able to travel to the US to support their team.

Athletes are exempt from Trump's travel ban, as long as they are travelling for major sporting events, which includes next summer's World Cup.

The players' immediate family members are also allowed to attend, ensuring that teams will receive some support

The only other country on the travel list that still has a shot at qualifying is Haiti. They are currently third in Group D of CONCACAF qualifying, with five points from four games.

After a 3-0 defeat to Honduras in their latest game, they now face an uphill battle to qualify.

Only the group winner qualifies directly for the World Cup, with Honduras currently topping the group on eight points.

Second place does still provide a potential path through to the inter-confederation play-offs, but progression will depend on ranking, and which other teams progress.

Haiti will play their final group games during the November international break, facing Costa Rice on November 13, before taking on Nicaragua on November 18.

With two games remaining, the team still holds a realistic chance of qualifying for the tournament.

If they do qualify for next summer's World Cup, questions remains about whether they will be able to send a delegation to Washington DC under the current restrictions.

Haiti have only appeared at the World Cup finals once in their history, having made the competition in 1974.

But it was a humbling experience for the small country, who lost all three of their games and finished bottom of the group.
