Michy Batshuayi just tried to do a spinning high kick on a fan as match ends in chaos

The match ended in chaos.

Michy Batshuayi attempted a spinning high kick on a fan after fans in Turkey stormed onto the pitch.

Turkish football was plunged into disarray on Sunday evening when Trabzonspor fans attacked Fenerbahce players on the pitch after a game.

The incident occurred after Fenerbahce claimed a 3-2 win away at Trabzonspor, with former Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi scoring a late winner.

Home fans threw objects onto the field as the striker celebrated his goal, before dozens flooded onto the pitch at full time as the visitors' celebrated their victory.

The Fenerbahce players initially looked to defend themselves before fleeing down the tunnel as security staff struggled to contain the pitch invaders.

Images and videos of Nigerian star Bright Osayi-Samuel punching one pitch invader have gone viral on social media.

He wasn't the only Fenerbahce player to lay hands - and feet - on one of their attackers.

Belgian striker Batshuayi was caught on camera attempting to spinning high kick a fan who was running past him, although he failed to properly connect.

"Above all, sport is gentlemanship," Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya posted on X.

"It is never acceptable for violence to take place on football pitches.

"An investigation has been initiated immediately to identify the spectators who entered the pitch and to investigate the incidents that took place at the end of the match."

In December, Super Lig fixtures were suspended after referee Halil Umut Meler was struck by MKE Ankaragucu president Faruk Koca.

Batshuayi joined the Turkish giants from Chelsea in 2022 after spending time on loan with Borussia Dortmund, Valencia, Crystal Palace and Besiktas.

This season Batshuayi has scored 21 goals in 36 games in all competitions, a return that has pushed his side to second place in the Turkish Lig - two points behind current leaders Galatasaray - and into the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League.
