Ruben Amorim was applauded by a section of Bournemouth fans for his reaction to a chant that rang around the Vitality Stadium after his AC Milan side conceded a third goal.
It was a miserable return to England for the Portuguese manager as AC Milan suffered a 3-0 defeat against Bournemouth in the Europa League.
Justin Kluivert gave Marco Rose's side an early lead from the penalty spot before goals from Marcus Tavernier and Amine Adli completed a convincing victory for the Premier League outfit.

The result means that Amorim, who was sacked by Manchester United in January this year following a turbulent 14-month spell, is still winless in four games against the Cherries.
In fact, one of his past results was mocked by the Vitality crowd on Thursday night.
Ruben Amorim laughs at "it's happened again" chant from Bournemouth fans
Back in December 2024, Bournemouth recorded a 3-0 victory over a lacklustre United at Old Trafford, with goals from Dean Huijsen, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo securing the win.
That scoreline, meanwhile, is clearly etched into the memory of many supporters. Shortly after Adli netted a wonderful free-kick from range, chants of "Ruben Amorim, it's happened again" rang around the stadium.
To his credit, Amorim found the funny side and could be seen laughing on the touchline. Bournemouth fans even applauded the opposition manager for taking it in good spirits, according to the BBC's Nizaar Kinsella.

Here's how fans on social media reacted to the scenes.
One fan wrote: "Bournemouth fans singing 'Ruben Amorim it’s happened again' is killing me," and a second commented: "Amorim laughing at the Bournemouth chants hahahahaha."
A second said: "Amorim is so funny bro, why is he smiling at the chants. He's losing against Bournemouth," while a fourth added: "Bournemouth fans singing ‘Ruben Amorim, it’s happened again’ and he’s there smiling. Hes a top tier ragebaiter."
Ruben Amorim mentioned Manchester United before kick-off, says he's 'made peace' with experience
Speaking in the build-up to Thursday's game, Amorim explained why he feels like he's become a better coach since leaving Manchester United.
“Since leaving Manchester United, I’ve obviously been through a different period and situation in my life," he told TNT Sports.
"I feel like a better coach, not because I’ve changed clubs, but because I’ve made peace with my last experience, and I’m very excited about this new experience at AC Milan."
Amorim added: “When you start a new journey, you can find the right peace of mind and move forward. That’s why I’m grateful for everything that’s happened: it’s brought me this far, and today I’m truly happy.”
