EA Sports FC 24 will feature a full Ballon d'Or ceremony as one of a number of improvements to the game's career mode.

The highly-anticipated 'Deep Dive' into both player and manager career was dropped by EA Sports on Monday, detailing the new features that players can enjoy upon the game's release - the first without the FIFA licence.

Among the significant changes to player career are the ability to start out as a free agent, rather than a specific club.

In addition, gamers can also 'target' a particular club to join, and complete a series of goals to make them more attractive to be signed by that club.

But one new feature that has really caught the eye is the addition of the prestigious Ballon d'Or - an award voted for by journalists and both national team coaches and players.

You can now be the recipient of the Ballon d'Or in your own player career mode - and witness a glamorous ceremony, too.

EA Sports FC 24 to include Ballon d'Or ceremony

In a video released by EA Sports to mark the inclusion of the Ballon d'Or in EA Sports FC 24, viewers can see footage of what the special ceremony will look like in-game.

It starts off with Manchester United legend Eric Cantona addressing the crowd in attendance - which, of course, includes your own player.

The camera then pans to Barcelona and Brazil icon Rivaldo, who is holding the famous gold envelope that contains the winning name.

Once your player's name is announced, they stand up to soak in the applause from the crowd before greeting Rivaldo on stage.

Your player then gets their hands on the trophy and holding it up in celebration. You can see how the Ballon d'Or ceremony will look on EA Sports FC 24 below.

Fans are generally loving the new feature on social media, with one writing: "Okay I'm moved now."

Another added: "This is beautiful."

And a third said: "Buying the game so I can create a player and win eight Ballon d'Ors."

Another claimed: "This lowkey made we wanna get the game."

In a press release, EA Sports FC stated: "New features in both Player and Manager Career in EA SPORTS FC™ 24 will help players control their footballing destiny even further. Achieving an incredible individual season in Player Career will activate the newly designed Ballon d'Or™ animation."
