A football fan has shared a genius hack showing gamers how they can get the new EA Sports FC 24 game early.

The game, the first in the post-FIFA era is released worldwide on September 29 on all consoles.

But those who have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, which features a plethora of players on the front cover, can get it a week earlier on September 22.

The same applies to EA Play subscribers, though you get only get 10 hours worth of playing time.

But over on TikTok, one content creator has decided to let everyone know the secret of how to get EA FC 24 even earlier.

The video from @morklive has garnered over 400,000 views and sees Marko explain that the trick to getting the game a day premature involves changing location.

New Zealand are 12 hours ahead and therefore get access to the game early. The hack is said to work on both Xbox and PlayStation but while the gist is the same, it's slightly different.

On Xbox you go to the system section in settings and set your language and location to New Zealand, while on PS, you have to adjust the timezone so that is Wellington, the capital of the country.

In the comments, fans shared their own experiences with the little loophole.

One said: "I'm on Xbox and this worked for NBA and for FIFA last year."

Another said: "At this point every Xbox player should get New Zealand citizenship."

A third simply added: "It's real."

A fourth stated: "Been around for ages."

A fifth commented: "I have done it every year it will work."

A final user told everyone: "Did it last year btw guys you can do it for the standard edition as well."
