
Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed an ongoing rumour during a new interview with Piers Morgan, as he edges closer to the 1,000-goal mark.
Ronaldo is already the top scorer in footballing history, with more than 950 goals for club and country.
His latest brace for Al-Nassr, which included a penalty in the 14th minute of second-half stoppage time, helped the Saudi Arabian side continue their perfect start to the season with a seventh consecutive victory.
Having recently signed a new deal with the Saudi Pro League club, Ronaldo has committed to playing until 2027, when he will be 42 years old.

Although he has not played in one of Europe's top five leagues since his controversial exit from Manchester United, his enduring success is a testament to his remarkable longevity.
Ronaldo's last interview with Morgan came in 2022, when he made headlines for saying he had no respect for the manager Erik ten Hag.

He also criticised former teammates, including Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville, as well as the club's owners.

Shortly after the interview, Ronaldo left United by mutual consent, and went on to join Al Nassr.
Now, another interview between Morgan and Ronaldo is set to be released.
Although the full conversation will not be available until November 4, Ronaldo has posted a 48-second trailer on his X account, pushing back against rumours that he is now a billionaire.
In the clip, Morgan says: "You became a billionaire last week."

Last month, reports circulated that Ronaldo had become the first footballer in history to become a billionaire.

Then in June 2025, he agreed a new deal with the Saudi club, which The Sun reported would earn him at least £492 million over just two seasons.

Ronaldo's commercial appeal has also significantly boosted his wealth, adding more than $175m (£130.6m) through endorsements and sponsorships.
He has been sponsored by Nike for over a decade and that is estimated to earn him around $18m (£13.4m) each year
Although Ronaldo has denied being a billionaire, it is clear he has still amassed a significant fortune throughout his glittering career.
