A former Liverpool player who made his full debut alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold is now having a very different career.
Back in October 2016, Alexander-Arnold started his first match for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp gave the then-18-year-old his full debut.
Under the lights at Anfield, Liverpool hosted Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
The Reds ended up winning 2-1 thanks to a brace by Daniel Sturridge.

Alexander-Arnold played 68 minutes before being replaced by Nathaniel Clyne.
From there, the local boy went on to make 354 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 23 goals. Alexander-Arnold also won two Premier League titles and one Champions League, among other trophies.
This summer, Alexander-Arnold ended his Liverpool career by signing for Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old is set to return to Anfield on Tuesday when the two teams face off in the UEFA Champions League.

While Alexander-Arnold is having a stellar career, the same can't be said about Ovie Ejaria, who made his first Liverpool start alongside Trent back in 2016, but his career trajectory has been very different.
The midfielder played the full 90 against Spurs, but only managed eight appearances for Liverpool in total.
Following loan spells at Sunderland, Rangers and Reading, Ejaria was sold permanently to the Royals in 2020.

Ejaria was then released by Reading in 2023 and went on trial at clubs like Plymouth Argyle and Egyptian side Zamalek before signing for La Liga side Real Oviedo this summer.

By joining Oviedo, Ejaria reunited with one of his former managers at Reading, Veljko Paunović.
However, Paunović was sacked last month and is now the head coach of the Serbian national side.

So far this season, Ejaria, now 27, has played 154 minutes across five La Liga appearances for Oviedo, who are 19th in the table.
Oviedo are back in La Liga action on Monday night when they take on Osasuna at the Estadio Municipal Carlos Tartiere.
