Former England captain John Terry has reignited a bizarre feud with an 18-cap international who clearly doesn't hold him in the esteem to which he's become accustomed.
Terry is never short of an opinion and spent his playing career in the ear of opponents and officials, so he was never likely to hold back when he caught sight of a video about ex-England midfielder Carlton Palmer.
The 59-year-old played in midfield for a host of clubs including Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United in the early years of the Premier League.
Hostilities began three years ago when Terry responded to Rio Ferdinand placing the Chelsea legend fifth on a list of the greatest Premier League defenders.

Discussing the matter on talkSPORT, Palmer agreed with Ferdinand's assessment and said he rated the Manchester United centre-back above Terry.
Terry replied to the clip on social media: "Please repost Carlton Palmer's video saying 'I remember back in 1991 we played against Chelsea and the team talk was to target John Terry,' I was 11 and at school, and you're still getting him on your show."
The jab referenced Palmer mistakenly claiming that he faced Terry in a League Cup tie while playing for Wednesday in 1991, when he would indeed have been 10 or 11 years of age.

"There'd be an argument that the two players he played with, [Marcel] Desailly and [Ricardo] Carvalho, were better than him. But I wouldn't argue with him going in the top five," Palmer said in 2022.
"I don’t believe he was better than Rio Ferdinand, that’s for sure."
A new video post on Instagram by Karel Prince, who has recently gone viral for exposing dubious claims from former professional footballers, offered 44-year-old Terry an irresistible opportunity to have a fresh pop at Palmer.

Prince addressed the same thing Terry had tweeted about three years earlier and attracted the attention of various prominent commenters including former Aston Villa flop Joleon Lescott and Terry himself.
"I was 11 years old and I was still better than than this clown," replied the former Three Lions skipper.
Palmer enjoyed a long career and finally came up against Terry in 1998, when they were on the pitch together for 17 minutes.

Terry came on as a substitute against Palmer's Southampton, helping the Blues see out a clean sheet and a 2-0 Boxing Day win at The Dell.
He had just turned 18.
